The Coaching Approach
What kind of coaching do you do?
I coach for decisions, conversations, and change, especially when something feels unclear, high-stakes, or difficult to navigate. The focus is on sustained change in how you think about situations and how you act on them. I work with people on leadership, career, and other situations they’re dealing with at work or in their personal lives. Often, these are situations without a clear answer or where the next step isn’t obvious.
Unlike therapy, which often focuses on understanding and healing the past, and unlike consulting which typically provides advice and solutions, Coaching focuses on how you think, decide, and move forward. In coaching, I won’t diagnose you or tell you what to do. I’ll help you examine what’s going on and make choices that feel aligned and intentional.
Are you a career coach?
I do work with people on career-related topics, but not in a traditional “career coaching” sense. I don’t focus on resumes, job searches, or interview prep. Instead, I help people think through career and leadership decisions. My background as an HR leader means I understand how these decisions play out inside organizations, but the focus of our work is helping you think clearly and decide what makes sense for you.
Are you a life coach?
Not in the traditional sense. I work with people on decisions related to their work, leadership, and what’s next, often including what’s going on in their personal lives because it’s all interconnected. The work isn’t about broad life goals or ongoing personal development. It’s usually centered on a specific situation you’re navigating, including how you’re thinking about it, how it’s affecting you, and getting clear on how you want to move forward.
Are you an executive coach?
I do work with executives, and my background as an HR leader means I’ve spent years supporting leaders through complex decisions inside organizations, often involving competing priorities, pressure, and real consequences.
That said, I don’t limit my coaching to titles. The kinds of situations executives face, like making difficult decisions, navigating uncertainty, leading others, and thinking clearly under pressure, are the same kinds of situations most people encounter in their work and lives. The focus of my work is helping you think clearly about what you’re dealing with and decide how you want to move forward.
